Job Description: Kite Instructor Couple
We are seeking an experienced and certified kite instructor couple to join our team for the 2023-2024 season in beautiful Costa Rica. The season runs from mid-November to beginning-mid May.
Accommodation
We offer a convenient office/apartment setup perfectly suited for a couple. The kite school office features a kitchen, while the bathroom is located in a hallway. The bedroom is situated up a few stairs, providing a comfortable living space. Additionally, the kite equipment is stored in an outdoor storage room.
Responsibilities
As a kite instructor couple, you will be responsible for both providing instruction and managing the school. We have a local former manager who resides 2km away and will also be working as a kite instructor for the upcoming season.
Past Season and Anticipated Hours
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, we employed 4-5 instructors. In the previous season, we operated with 3 instructors averaging 50 hours per month each. However, we anticipate an increase in hours per instructor for the upcoming season.
Location
Our kite school/studio is located just 150 meters from the kite spot at Playa Copal (Copal beach) in Costa Rica. This spot has been ranked as the 8th windiest location in the world. With almost constant wind throughout the day, you will have ample time for both teaching and kiteboarding. Please note that when kiteboarding, you will need to use your personal kites.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English is essential for both positions. While Spanish language skills would be helpful, they are not required.
