Tiny Whale is a passionate and thriving surf coaching company based in the beautiful Algarve, Portugal. We are dedicated to providing exceptional surf experiences for our guests, and we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Surf Coach to join our team.
Job Overview
As a full-time Surf Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality surf coaching sessions to groups of 4 guests at a time. You will also be responsible for conducting theory sessions, organizing activities like video analysis and surf skate lessons, and leading practical exercises in the pool. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in social events with our guests, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Requirements
To be eligible for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A Level 2 Surf Coaching Certificate from ISA, ASI, or an equivalent national governing body
- RLSS, SLSGB Beach Lifeguard, or Surf Coach Safety Certificate (or a similar qualification)
- Full driver's license for driving in Europe- Legal permission to work in PortugalWhile not mandatory, having a background in sport science or additional coaching qualifications would be advantageous.
We also value candidates who have at least 2 years of proven experience as a surf coach and are proficient in spoken and written English.
An advanced level of surfing performance is helpful but not essential.
Duration
This position is open from the beginning of March until the end of November, offering the opportunity for consistent employment during the surf season.
